About JDM Painting LLC

     House painting runs in my family. My grandfather, uncles and cousins all painted houses, schools and churches. My first job at 13 years old was painting a hallway in a machine shop where my Father worked as a Machinist. He used to always tell me to learn a trade that could take me anywhere. However, I didn't paint again until I was in my 30's and at that time I was working for my Uncles and other Contractors. I learned a lot about the trade during this period.

     In October 2021, after some deep reflection and prayer about my career path, I decided to start my own painting company. It's not something I planned at all. I didn't even have my own ladders and equipment yet. I just printed some shirts and fliers and went out by knocking on doors in different neighborhoods offering free estimates. I knew I had to get my name out there and build a reputation proving I was a person they could trust to get the job done right whether I do the work myself or bring a team to get it done. As word got out that JDM Painting was in business I started getting 5 star reviews one after another. I was able to grow pretty quickly and bring a few more people on board and create job opportunities.

     My intention has been to build a brand that would set a higher standard when it comes to customer service, project management and delivering results. I realized that a paint job done well brings homeowners peace of mind and I enjoy being part of that. I also love to see how my crews look and feel after they've done an amazing job.

     My goals through my business are to make my customers happy, provide job opportunities and build a dynamic work force. It all comes down to one word; OPPORTUNITY. I hope to be able to establish a company culture that reflects my values such as taking initiative, going the extra mile, taking pride in ones work, and being able to focus on what's right in front of you while still seeing the bigger picture.

     Over the course of developing JDM Painting I've had the pleasure of partnering with the New American Center which serves refugees and connects those who have work authorization with us for day labor. I see my company as a way to make a difference in various ways. One of those ways is to improve people's homes with a new paint job and by improving lives through employment opportunities. I also look forward to being able to give more to charity that has boots on the ground doing work that makes an impact.
